Chitin’ nanofibril is a natural biopolymer extracted from chitin.

What is chitin?

It is a well-known natural biopolymer found in many organisms, including crustaceans, fungi and algae.

The chitin’ nanofibrils represents the crystalline pure and part of chitin and are obtained from this polysaccharide by an industrial method patented by MAVI Sud worldwide.

What’s its activity

Well known for its numerous and interesting biological properties chitin nanofibril is used to give more efficacy to many active principles (lutein, melatonin, etc) used to formulate anti-aging cosmetics. Moreover being similar to jaluronic acid it is capable to link water at level of the skin cells, maintaining moisture for at least 24 hours.

How long is this natural and sugar-like compound?

It is about 250 nanometers long, i.e. 1 fourth of a bacterium.

It is save to use?

Being recognized natural from the skin, chitin nanofibril is used as energizing compound also.
